Description
Product Description The Acti9 xC60 (C-Curve) is a standard commercial and residential single-pole circuit breaker. It is engineered to protect a single live phase wire against overloads and short circuits. The “C” curve profile means the breaker is calibrated to trip instantly when it senses an electrical surge that is 5 to 10 times its rated 16A continuous current. This specific tolerance makes it the global standard for circuits that experience minor, safe “inrush” spikes when turned on. Key Features 1-Pole (1P) Configuration: Safely manages and interrupts a single phase line in single-phase or distributed three-phase panels. 16A Current Capacity: Standard rating designed to protect typical branch circuits from overheating and causing electrical fires. C-Curve Trip Profile: Effectively differentiates between a dangerous electrical fault and the harmless temporary power spike created when a machine or motor starts up. 10kA Fault Breaking Capacity: Rated to safely stop severe short-circuit faults up to 10,000A under standard IS/IEC regulations. Fast Closing Mechanism: Designed to snap shut rapidly regardless of how quickly the manual toggle is pushed, minimizing electrical arcing and extending the physical lifespan of the contacts. Compatible Mechanisms and Systems This individual single-pole breaker is designed to fit inside modular electrical infrastructure and protect everyday consumer or light-commercial mechanical appliances: 1. Panel Hardware & Distribution Compatibility Standard DIN Rails: Standardized body clips effortlessly onto any universal 35mm wide metal DIN rail. SPN & TPN Distribution Boards: Compatible with Single Pole & Neutral (SPN) as well as Three Pole & Neutral (TPN) electrical panel boards. Comb Busbars: Grooves on the bottom and top terminals accept Schneider’s insulated pin or prong-style comb busbars for fast, secure power bridging across multiple single-pole breakers. 2. Appliances and Mechanical Loads It Protects Because a C-curve 16A breaker can withstand moderate initial power spikes without “nuisance tripping,” it is highly compatible with the following mechanisms: Small Motor-Driven Appliances: Excellent for domestic kitchen waste disposers, built-in dishwasher pumps, and small exhaust fans. Air Conditioning & Ventilation: Protects individual single-phase split air conditioner units or air curtains drawing under 16 Amps. Water Booster Pumps: Safely handles the brief starting current surge of small home water delivery or sump pumps. Commercial LED Lighting Networks: Controls large circuits of LED drivers or fluorescent ballasts, which are notorious for drawing a high temporary “inrush” current the moment they are switched on.
