Description
Product Description: Selec EM306 Digital kWh Energy Meter The Selec EM306 is a panel-mounted (96×96 mm), industrial-grade digital AC energy meter engineered to track active energy consumption (kWh). It features a prominent, high-visibility 6-digit, 7-segment red LED display designed for dark or crowded electrical control panels. Built for electrical sub-metering and factory energy management, it is universally compatible with 1-phase 2-wire, 2-phase 3-wire, and 3-phase 4-wire electrical distribution networks. Key Technical Features Display Range: 6-digit cumulative LED readout, resetting to zero automatically after reaching 999999 kWh. Measurement Accuracy: True RMS active energy measurement with a reliable Accuracy Class 1 rating. Network Inputs: Rated voltage inputs range broadly from 11V to 300V AC (Line-to-Neutral) and 19V to 519V AC (Line-to-Line). System Integration: Fully programmable Current Transformer (CT) primary ratios (from 5A up to 10,000A) to scale down high currents. Output Signaling: Built-in test pulse output (typically 1000 impulses per kWh) via an internal relay. Compatible Mechanisms & Equipment The Selec EM306 is fundamentally a metering and monitoring device. It does not interrupt power or act as a circuit breaker on its own; rather, it intercepts voltage and scaled-down current signals to audit performance. It is designed to interface with the following hardware and mechanisms: 1. Current Transformers (CTs) Compatible Hardware: Standard 5A or 1A secondary Current Transformers (e.g., 100/5A, 400/5A, or 1000/5A ratios). Application: The EM306 cannot handle raw high-amperage factory currents directly. It requires CTs clamped around the main incoming lines to drop the current down to a safe 5A or 1A reference signal, which matches the meter’s programmable inputs. 2. Main Power Distribution Boards (PDBs) & Sub-Panels Compatible Control Mechanisms: Factory breaker panels, commercial tenant distribution boards, and generator switchgear panels. Application: Flush-mounted directly onto the front door of electrical enclosures to allow technicians or property managers to check power consumption without exposing themselves to live busbars. 3. High-Consumption Industrial Machinery (Energy Auditing) Compatible Mechanisms: Industrial air compressors, plastic injection molding machines, large CNC milling centers, and industrial baking ovens. Application: Wired directly into the dedicated power feed of a single massive machine. This allows production facilities to run precise energy audits and calculate exactly how many kilowatt-hours it takes to manufacture a specific batch of goods. 4. PLC & SCADA Automation Infrastructure Compatible Systems: Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), and dedicated Building Management Systems (BMS). Application: By wiring the meter’s pulse output terminals into a digital input card on a PLC, the automation system can count the pulse frequencies to log long-term energy trends and generate automatic utility reports.
