Product Description The TeSys GV3L65 is a 3-pole magnetic motor circuit protector. It is specifically designed for industrial setups that prefer to separate their fault protections—using this unit for lightning-fast short-circuit protection and pairing it with a separate downstream relay for overload (heat) protection. This layout prevents a jammed motor from damaging the breaker itself.   Key Features Pure Magnetic Protection: Calibrated with a fixed magnetic trip threshold of 910A. If a catastrophic short circuit occurs, it interrupts the line instantaneously.   65A Continuous Current Rating: Engineered to handle heavy full-load currents up to 65 Amps under a maximum of 690V AC.   Rotary Toggle Control: Features a heavy-duty rotary knob that clearly reflects the system’s operational status (ON/OFF/TRIPPED) and supports padlocking for standard safety Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.   EverLink BTR Connectors: Uses Schneider’s patented wire terminals that automatically maintain pressure on tightening screws, mitigating the structural creepage of copper wiring over time and eliminating hot-spot panel fires.   High Interruption Capacity (50kA): Capable of safely isolating massive fault spikes up to 50,000A at 400/415V without exploding or failing.   Compatible Mechanisms and Components Because a magnetic-only MPCB does not provide thermal overload protection on its own, regulations require it to be integrated with specific external companion mechanisms: 1. Mandatory Protection & Panel Accessories TeSys LRD365 / LRD33 Thermal Overload Relays: To complete full motor protection, this breaker must be wired in series with a standalone thermal overload relay (specifically models like the LRD365). The downstream relay handles slow-burn heat overloads, while the GV3L65 handles explosive short circuits.   TeSys D / Deca Contactors: Natively hooks up side-by-side or stacked with high-capacity contactors (such as the LC1D40A to LC1D65A) via an S-shape busbar link (GV3S) to form an ultra-compact starter panel block.   Auxiliary Contact Blocks: Accepts standard front-mount (GVAE11) or side-mount (GVAN11) auxiliary switch add-ons to relay the breaker’s position straight to industrial automation PLCs. Undervoltage / Shunt Trips: Can be fitted with internal GV3AU or GV3AS trip mechanisms for automated remote safety emergency-stops. 2. Heavy Machinery and Mechanical Loads It Protects When properly paired with a thermal overload relay, the 65A rating enables this circuit protector to safely run heavy three-phase induction motors up to 30 kW (40 HP) at 400V, including: High-Capacity Industrial Air Compressors: Heavy pneumatic pumping stations found in assembly lines and automotive manufacturing centers.
