Rated with a 10kA breaking capacity, this device acts as a robust main disconnector for three-phase (415V AC) electrical networks. Unlike a Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB), a standard isolator does not automatically trip during an overload or short circuit. Instead, it is designed as a heavy-duty, manual safety switch featuring a positive contact indication. When flipped to the “OFF” position, it physically breaks all three live phases simultaneously, ensuring absolute safety for downstream electrical maintenance. Application: Mounted in a small enclosure right next to the machine. Before a technician opens up the machine’s mechanical gears or wiring bays for servicing, they flip this isolator to guarantee no electricity can reach the unit. 2. Heavy HVAC & Commercial Chiller Units Compatible Mechanisms: Rooftop air conditioning compressors, large cooling towers, and industrial ventilation blowers.
