Product Description: Anly AH3-2 Analog Time Delay Relay The Anly AH3-2 is an 8-pin, plug-in solid-state timer relay designed for high-precision time control in industrial automation. It features a prominent manual rotary dial knob on the front panel with a clear scale indicator, allowing operators to easily set custom time thresholds. As an On-Delay (Power-On Delay) timer, when control voltage is applied to the unit, its countdown begins. Once the pre-set time expires, the dual-color LED indicators switch from “ON” (counting) to “UP” (time elapsed), and its internal double-pole, double-throw (DPDT / 2NO 2NC) contacts flip to change the state of the connected machinery. It is rarely connected directly to a high-power machine; instead, its output pins manipulate control circuits, safety interlocks, and larger motor contactors. It is highly compatible with the following setups: 1. Star-Delta (Wye-Delta) Motor Starters Compatible Mechanisms: Industrial air compressors, heavy ventilation blowers, and high-horsepower water pumps. Application: This is the most common use case. When a large motor starts up, the AH3-2 coordinates the switch over. It allows the motor to start up in a low-voltage “Star” configuration for a few seconds to prevent a massive power surge, and then automatically flips the AC contactors into “Delta” configuration once the time runs out. 2. Sequential Machine Startup Lines Compatible Mechanisms: Multi-stage conveyor belts, automated packaging lines, and manufacturing plants. Application: Prevents tripping main factory circuit breakers by ensuring five separate heavy machines don’t all turn on at the exact same millisecond. The AH3-2 spaces out their startups (e.g., Machine A starts, 5 seconds later Machine B starts, 5 seconds later Machine C starts). 3. Lubrication & Cooling Delay Systems Compatible Mechanisms: CNC spindle oil pumps, heavy gearboxes, and industrial cooling fans. Application: Used to delay the main machine from starting until the oil pump has had 10 seconds to fully lubricate the internal mechanical gears. Conversely, it can keep a cooling fan running for a brief window after a machine turns off. 4.
