Description
Product Description The TeSys GC2511B5 is a modular, compact magnetic contactor designed to fit cleanly inside standard electrical consumer units and distribution boards. This specific configuration operates on a 25A grid load and features a mixed pole arrangement for advanced automation or logic signaling. Key Features 1 NO + 1 NC Pole Configuration: Features one Normally Open (NO) main contact path and one Normally Closed (NC) contact path. When the internal coil is energized, the open contact snaps shut to power a device, while the closed contact pops open to cut power to an alternate path or indicator light. 25A Current Rating: Capable of safely handling up to 25 Amps of continuous current under standard heating/lighting (AC-7a) or motor-driven (AC-7b) operational loads. 24V AC Control Coil: The internal electromagnet is activated by a safe, low-voltage 24V AC signal, making it highly suitable for integration with automation controllers and thermostats. Compact Footprint: At only 18mm wide (1 module wide), it takes up minimal space on a panel rail. Visual Status Indicator: Features a small mechanical indicator window on the front face to show whether the contactor is physically engaged or at rest. Compatible Mechanisms and Systems As an automated control switch, this contactor bridges low-voltage controls with high-powered electrical mechanisms: 1. Compatible Control & Panel Hardware 35mm DIN Rails: Clips directly onto standard metal DIN rails alongside MCBs inside residential consumer units or industrial enclosures. Step-Down Control Transformers: Requires a compatible 230V to 24V AC power transformer to feed the low-voltage control signals to the contactor’s A1/A2 coil terminals. Automation Controllers & Smart Switches: Directly compatible with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), smart home relays (like Shelly or Sonoff), building management systems (BMS), and 24V HVAC thermostats. 2. Appliances and Mechanical Loads It Manages A 25A 1NO+1NC contactor is commonly wired to control: Smart Lighting Networks: Manages large banks of high-inrush LED, fluorescent, or outdoor security lighting systems. Heating and HVAC Elements: Controls residential space heaters, underfloor heating mats, or central air conditioner compressors that require a low-voltage thermostat handshake. Single-Phase Pumps & Ventilators: Remotely starts up water booster pumps, fountain pumps, or commercial exhaust fans drawing under 25 Amps. Interlocking Safety Systems: The combination of 1 NO and 1 NC pole makes it highly compatible with safety interlocks—ensuring that if a primary machine is turned on (via the NO contact), a secondary backup machine or hazard pathway is mechanically prevented from running at the same time (via the NC contact).
