Description
The Mechanical Multi-Position Water Level Switch is a universal spare part designed for semi-automatic and older fully-automatic top-loading washing machines. It features a rotatable plastic gear shaft on top, allowing users or the machine’s mechanical timer assembly to physically dial in and adjust the desired water level capacity (such as Low, Medium, High, or up to 6 distinct positional increments). Instead of sending a digital signal to a computer board, this switch acts as a physical gatekeeper for electricity. As air pressure builds up through the pressure tube, it pushes an internal rubber diaphragm. Once the pressure reaches the mechanically selected threshold, it triggers a physical “click” that snaps the internal metal contacts open or shut, instantly cutting off power to the water inlet valve.
